2nd Weekly Video

For my second weekly video I am going back to the best video footage ever to be shot. The Patterson-Gimlin film. The most famous bigfoot sighting ever, thought for decades to be a hoax but this video still remains a mystery. Shot in 1967 in California, Roger Patterson was making a documentary on Bigfoot. Yet to have his money shot, people believed he had a man in an ape suit pretend to be a bigfoot so that his movie wouldn't be a fail. If this were an ape suit however, it is the best one ever made. Countless investigations have been done on the video and the muscles can be seen rippling beneath the hair. That would have to be one large man in the suit. Either way, this is the number one piece of evidence for any sasquatch researcher. Patterson-Gimlin Film.

Communication

In order to call in some sasquatches i need to practice my bigfoot communication. They communicate to each other through calls and knocks. To practice my calls I first need to know what a bigfoot sounds like. Here is the clearest example I could find of a sasquatch call from 1973 in Oregon. Estacada, OR.

1ST Weekly Video

Every week I will post videos that are some of the best evidence still to this day. For the first video I will start from the beginning. Shot even before the best Bigfoot video ever, the Patterson-Gimlin film, this 1962 shows a Sasquatch jumping across rocks in the Rocky Mountains. Rocky Mountain Bigfoot.

First Location

I have finally found my first search location! This site is very exciting. Sabbath Day Point, NY is on the banks of Lake George. According to the BFRO's database alone there have been 5 encounters here and around the lake George area there have been 4 more encounters, easily making this area the suqatchiest place in NY. I can't wait to explore this place myself! Additionally Sabbath Day Point is not only home to Bigfoot. It is a historical site from the French and Indian War. In this battle the French ambushed the British killing 250 out of 350 soldiers and only losing one man in the campaign, Maybe not only will I encounter a Bigfoot but I could also be haunted by some British soldiers. Here are some of these encounters. Rocks thrown at WomenCamper sees BigfootCreepy VocalizationsMore Vocalizations.

Baby Bigfoot in New York?

I am going to search for Bigfoot in the state of New York. So like any good scientist I decided to do some background research. The Animal Planet show "Finding Bigfoot", which was my inspiration for this project, had an episode in the Catskill Mountains of NY. They opened up with some footage from 1997 of what seems to be a small apelike creature swinging around in the trees. Additionally there is a taller figure in the bottom which the smaller figure jumps off of. It is a very compelling sign that Sasquatches exist. They have to breed and this could be an example of a juvenile Bigfoot. Here is the video. Baby Bigfoot Video

Starting research

Finding a creature in the woods is very difficult. Even if that creature can reach 9 to 10 feet tall and over 600 pounds. In order to even begin venturing into the wilderness you have to know if where you are going is suitable habitat. Sasquatches are claimed to live in thick woods and marshy areas. Nobody will ever find bigfoot strolling through a desert or hiding in a metropolis. Since my money is limited, my searches will be conducted almost exclusively in the states of New York and Pennsylvania. So I began researching the best areas in these states for habitat and past sightings/exhibitions. In New York, there have been 99 documented reports of bigfoot activity. My county, Broome, has 3 total sightings including one just 10 minutes away from my house. But Sasquatch sightings are much more prominent between the Adirondacks and Vermont. Warren, Essex, and Washington counties account for a total of 27 sightings and seems to be the best place to begin the hunt.  In Pennsylvania there are 108 total sightings. But they are much more spread out that NY. Most eastern counties have one or none sightings but once you cross over to Western Pennsylvania, the sightings increase dramatically. And Pennsylvania has 4 sightings just last year unlike NY where nothig has been documented since 2012. Hopefully i can narrow down some more areas and start planning out my own expeditions.
