Starting research

Finding a creature in the woods is very difficult. Even if that creature can reach 9 to 10 feet tall and over 600 pounds. In order to even begin venturing into the wilderness you have to know if where you are going is suitable habitat. Sasquatches are claimed to live in thick woods and marshy areas. Nobody will ever find bigfoot strolling through a desert or hiding in a metropolis. Since my money is limited, my searches will be conducted almost exclusively in the states of New York and Pennsylvania. So I began researching the best areas in these states for habitat and past sightings/exhibitions. In New York, there have been 99 documented reports of bigfoot activity. My county, Broome, has 3 total sightings including one just 10 minutes away from my house. But Sasquatch sightings are much more prominent between the Adirondacks and Vermont. Warren, Essex, and Washington counties account for a total of 27 sightings and seems to be the best place to begin the hunt.  In Pennsylvania there are 108 total sightings. But they are much more spread out that NY. Most eastern counties have one or none sightings but once you cross over to Western Pennsylvania, the sightings increase dramatically. And Pennsylvania has 4 sightings just last year unlike NY where nothig has been documented since 2012. Hopefully i can narrow down some more areas and start planning out my own expeditions.
